BUSAN, South Korea -- Busan has rolled out a 10 year plan called the 'urban farming foster project' which aims to start vegetable gardens within the city. 

The city will invest 40 billion won by 2022 to promote 9 projects on 570,200 square meters of land for cultivating rooftop vegetable gardens, ground vegetable gardens, public citizen's garden and a public city hall vegetable garden. 

The city is going to hold another 14 projects to promote urban farming including forums, workshops, urban farmer lectures, kings of urban farming competitions, a support center, and a Facebook site to connect urban farmers to social media.
