Embracing Our Creativity
Series 1: Visual Art
From April 15 -17, Lee & Bae Gallery in Dalmaji will host a very special exhibition of visual art created by members of Busan International Women’s Association (BIWA). BIWA is a well-known charitable non-government organization with more then 140 members, many of which are artists or have art interests. Living in Korea and coming from over 20 different countries, BIWA members are constantly exposed to different cultures and interesting traditions. They get new impressions, ideas and share their knowledge with each other . The whole experience of being involved in a life, so different from a life in their home countries, serves as a great inspiration to BIWA ladies, along with fostering a desire for self-exploration and creativity.
This exhibition is designed to bring together the women of BIWA, to discover newly-born artists and to introduce their art to a larger audience. A variety of media will be presented; from paintings and photography to mixed media art, sculpture and flower arrangements.
There will be an opportunity for artists and visitors to make cash donations which will go directly to BIWA Welfare fund which supports charities in the Busan area. The Busan community is invited to attend the grand opening ceremony which will begin at 6.00 pm on Friday, April 15th.
