BUSAN, South Korea -- Busan will host the 7th annual Asian Conference on Safe Communities. The World Health Organization recently designated Busan as an international safe community, a first among all metropolitan cities. 

An official with the city of Busan said the theme for the event will be Business in Metropolitan Cities.' BEXCO Auditorium will hold the event from May 12th to May 15th. 

Busan city and the Busan International Safety Community Research Center will run the event. Three-hundred professional and public officials from 60 cities in nine Asian countries will participate.
