To commemorate the 50th year since Busan’s establishment as a Metropolitan City, a breathtaking fireworks display will take place on October 26, beginning at 8 p.m. at Gwangalli Beach under the theme of 50 years of love.

The pre-concert for the Busan Fireworks Festival will take place on October 25, at BEXCO auditorium. The City of Busan will co-host the concert with Hyundai Motor Company and will feature many famous Korean singers including Boohwal (South Korean rock band), Kim Beom-su, Choi Jeong-won, Yim Jae-beom, and JK Kim Dong-uk.

This year’s fireworks promise to be bigger and better than ever. This year’s show will also feature the newly introduced Iguassu Falls fireworks, which are expected to be the highlight of the festival.

A variety of pre-events including a Brazilian percussive performance, music concert, mixed a capella group performance as well as a proposal event for soon-to-be married couples is scheduled to be held on October 26, from 2 p.m. on the Gwangalli Beach roadside.

The city of Busan will give final confirmation for the date of the fireworks based on the weather forecast three days prior to the event.
