BUSAN, South Korea -- The Busan Biennale 2013 kicked off the beginning of their exhibition on a special stage at Songdo beach this past weekend with an opening ceremony. The festival will run for 30 days featuring 35 on-and-off shore installations—15 invited works and 20 final entries—including art works from 11 countries, which will be on display at the month-long event from September 14 until October 13.

The festival is co-hosted by the city of Busan and the organizational committee of the Busan Biennale with the theme of 'With Songdo: Remembrance*Marks*People'. 

This year's theme emphasizes the 100th anniversary of Songdo beach, as well as the 26 year-old Biennale's past, present, and future for exploration and restoration.
