BUSAN, South Korea -- The Busan District Court has sentenced a 55 year-old woman charged with throwing stones at a metro car to eight months confinement. 

The woman was observed throwing the stones at Choryang station on April 22nd, at 5:55 pm. The stones, which she carried in her pocket to the metro station, were thrown at the train operator's compartment. One of the stones broke the window near the operator and showered him with debris. 

She has been classified as suffering from 3rd grade mental retardation. She had previously registered a complaint regarding the way the train was operated, saying that the operator drives the train recklessly.
