BUSAN, South Korea – The 16th Busan International Film Festival has unveiled the schedules for the diverse events with the international film figures and leading Korean short film directors.
The 16th Busan International Film Festival will hold a Master Class titled ‘My Life, My Cinema’ with the film masters to look back at their World of Art and their film career. Loved by Korean fans, French representative actress Isabelle Huppert will participate in this special event. In addition,Kore-Eda Hirokazu, the director of I Wish in A Window on Asian Cinema, Luc Besson, the director of The Lady in Gala Presentation, and Yonfan, the New Currents Head Juror, will visit Korea to share their life and cinematic philosophies.
The hand-printing ceremonies have also been released today. Since the second edition of the Busan International Film Festival, this special event has been held with the world-distinguished guests. From Luc Besson to Kim Kee-duk, honoree of this year’s Korean Cinema Retrospective will honor the Busan International Film Festival with their hand printing ceremony.
Also, the "Short Film – Long Chat" discussion schedules have been announced. ‘Short Film, Long Chat’ has received attention from many independent film fans. The films that deal with social problems such as Anesthesia and The Abortion and other works about modern society and family will be presented at the event. Through a special talk with the directors, audiences will discuss the subjects and messages captured in their short films.
