After another amazing opening ceremony to open the 20th annual Busan International Film Festival last night, the first full day of films hit the theaters in Haeundae for nine more days of fantastic films to choose from.

After last night’s red carpet event, the opening film “Zubaan” and the opening party in Haeundae, films take center stage today, with a total of 304 films from 75 countries, including 94 world premieres scheduled at seven theaters across the city.

 Friday’s Highlights

Hand Printing Ceremony

Venue: Outdoor Stage, Haeundae

The Hand Printing event celebrates a cineaste’s work and is equivalent to a lifetime achievement award.

Meet the Guest:Talk to Talk

Venue: Busan Cinema Center Dureraum Square

Meet the Guest: Talk to Talk lets guests meet influential figures from the cinema world and the event will be held at the Dureraum Square located in the Busan Cinema Center.

5 p.m. – Directos Kang Je-kyu, Feng Xioagang, Sun Hao

Open Talk

Venue: Outdoor Stage Village, Haeundae

This event allows audiences to interact with the guests from the most issue-making films on the Outdoor Stage at the BIFF Village, Haeundae. It will serve as a global meeting place for filmmakers and actors/actresses.

Outdoor Talk

Venue: Outdoor Stage at BIFF Village, Haeundae

Taking place at the Outdoor Stage of BIFF Village, Haeundae and BIFF Square in Nampo-dong from October 3 to 10, the Outdoor Greeting Event will fulfill the needs of audiences with numerous renowned filmmakers.
