ANYANG – Anyang KGC won their sixth straight game, using a 57 point second half to blow the game open and beat the Sonic Boom 89-66 at home Wednesday night.
Song Young-jin’s three early in the second quarter gave KT a 17-16 lead, but KGC regrouped to go on a 12-2 run and cruise into halftime with a 32-28 lead.
The third quarter was all KCC, as KT struggled with turnovers, while KGC scored at will. KCC outscored KT 30-13 in the quarter on 10/19 shooting, while KT only mustered 11 shots.
KT finally came alive in the beginning of the fourth, using a 13-3 run in the first three minutes to cut the lead to 11, but KGC responded with a 13-0 run to blow the game wide open and take the series lead in the season 2 games to 1.
Oh Sae-geun scored 21 points, and added 12 rebounds, while Rodney White chipped in 20 and Kim Tae-sool 18.
Charles Rhodes scored a game high 30 points and added 14 rebounds and 3 blocks for KT.
