‘Baby Box’ Project Fails Due to Opposition

BUSAN, South Korea – An attempt to install a ‘Baby Box’ in Busan failed after a Sasang-gu social organization abandoned the project due to controversy surrounding the project.

The representative of the foundation said it had protected a newborn baby who was born to a teenage unmarried mother in Daegu on April 5th. However, the mother only reported it in one day. The foundation was investigated over the incident.

The organization had been lobbying for three months to have a baby box installed.
