Award-Winning ‘Monkey Dance’ Non-Verbal Performance Begins This Friday

The popular Korean non-verbal A Capella performance ‘Monkey Dance’ gets underway for a 10-day run this Friday at the Busan Cinema Center.

The story revolves Dr. Young-tae Ahn of the Organ Transplantation Team who starts the long journey to find the blood sample of the monkeys that are believed to be close up to 97.8% of human genes after reports that the transplantation of a monkey’s organ into humans was successful was announced to the world.

The show won the grand prize at the 2016 Busan Performing Art Festival as well as the 2016 Milyang Performing Arts Festival. It is also scheduled to be performed at the 2017 Edinburgh Fringe Festival.

Tickets for the show cost 30,000 won.
