The Suyeong riverside transformation into a park area from the opposite bank of the Suyeong River has been completed.

BUSAN, South Korea -- Suyeong-gu District has completed a Suyeong River downstream square deck construction project to build a water-front observatory at the Suyeong Riverside and the completion ceremony will be held at one of the decks near Suyeong Hyundai Apartment 103-dong on October 16. At a total cost of 1.8 billion won, three square decks on the promenade of the Suyeong Riverside between Suyeonggyo Bridge and Jwa Suyeonggyo Bridge have been built.

To provide a place for citizens to relax, a pergola and bench were placed on the deck, and to enable the use of the deck as a performing stage, outdoor lighting at night and music broadcasting equipment has been installed as well. A beautiful night view of the APEC Naru Park and Busan Cinema Center, located on the opposite bank of the Suyeong River from the new square decks, is expected to attract tourists to these new tourist attractions.

An 8km nature-friendly, waterfront riverside footpath starts from Gwangalli Beach and reaches all the way to Oncheoncheon via Millak Waterfront Park and the Suyeong Riverside. The new square decks are conveniently about halfway along the footpath, providing spaces for relaxation and cultural events.
