Olympic Football - Korea in Relatively Easy Grouping

SEOUL, South Korea - The Korean national soccer team has been drawn with Switzerland, Mexico and Gabon in the group stage for the London Olympics.

“I think we should be well-prepared for all three teams,” said coach Hong Myung-bo. “To begin with, we are going to focus on analyzing our opponents as well as each member of our team. We will start practicing soon with a friendly match I requested.”

Mexico is the highest ranking team in the group, but Korea was able to avoid world powerhouses England, Brazil and Spain in the early rounds.

The football competition begins July 6th.
