Lotte Takes Two of Three From SK

The Giants are playing through injuries, but have managed to stay near the top of the standings.

INCHEON, South Korea - The Lotte Giants took two of three games this week against SK, to move them back into second place in the KBO standings.
The Giants won the opener 5-1 thanks to Park Jong-yoon's eighth homer of the season. Lee Yong-hoon (6-2) got back on track after a few miserable performances to win his sixth game of the year, pitching six innings while giving up seven hits and striking out five.
Lee Sang-hwa (0-1) got the nod on Wednesday, but only lasted 3 1/3 innings as Lotte fell 3-1. Kim Ju-chan went 3-4 at the plate as the Giants only managed seven hits.
Son Ah-seop's seventh inning two run homer capped a four run inning, as Lotte eased past SK 7-2 in the finale. Shane Youman (5-2) allowed only four hits in 7 1/3 innings and struck out six in another dominant performance. He also lowered his team leading ERA to 2.43.
