Lotte Takes Two of Three From SK

The Lotte Giants took two of three games this week at home versus the SK Knights, placing them solidly in second place.

BUSAN, South Korea - Traditionally slow starters, the Lotte Giants are off to a quick start this season, thanks to an improved pitching staff and timely hitting.
The Giants took two out of three games during their homestand this week against SK, and are currently 6-3-1 on the season.
On Tuesday, Hong Seung-hoon hit a two run homer, and drove in a third in the sixth as Lotte beat SK 3-2, behind Shane Youman's (2-0) 7 1/3 innings. He allowed two runs on six hits and struck out eight in his second impressive start of the season.
In the second game, SK blew open the game with a four run seventh to win 8-2. Kim Sung-bae (0-1) took the loss in relief.
Lotte recovered to take the finale on Thursday, scoring five runs in the first two innings, and Hong Seung-hoon hit his third homer of the year as Lotte held on to win 6-3. Song Seung-joon (2-1) pitched 6 1/3 innings of eight hit ball, and struck out eight. Kim Sa-yeul pitched 1 1/3 innings of no hit ball for his third save of the season.
