Korean Directors Shut Out at Cannes

Despite having two movies in the Palme d'Or competition at the Cannes Film Festival, both Korean directors failed to bring home a prize.

CANNES, France - Hong Sang-soo's "In Another Country" and Lim Sang-soo's "The Taste of Money"failed to win the Palme d'Or at the Cannes Film Festival which wrapped up in the southern French city.
Cannes crowned “Love” by Austria’s Michael Haneke, the wrenching tale of a man and his dying wife, with its Palme d’Or prize Sunday as Europe swept the awards, claiming 21 of the 22 awards up for grabs.
Three other Korean movies - Yeon Sang-ho's animated feature film "King of Pigs" and Heo Jin-ho's "Dangerous Liaisons"and Shin Su-won's "Circle Line" were also screened at the 65th version of Europe's biggest film festival.
