K League - IPark Win In Sangju

The Busan IPark continued their winning ways with an away 2-1 over Sangju Sangmu.


SANGJU, South Korea - The Busan IPark scored two first hour goals and held on to defeat Sangju Sangmu 2-1 on the road Saturday afternoon.

The IPark dominated possession and play on the pitch for most of the game, holding on after they had jumped out to an early 2-0 lead.

Park Jong-woo opened the scoring for the IPark in the 40th minute, after a slick Matt McKay pass found him open in the box, and he quickly one touched it to his right foot and drove it past keeper Kim Ho-jun.

McKay again set up the second goal six minutes after the break, when he found a streaking Lee Jong-won who delivered a beautiful strike past Kim to make it 2-0.

Sangju's Kim Chi-gon cut the lead in half on 85 minutes when he headed home a Kim Jae-sung corner, but the IPark held on to to win their fourth game of the season.

The IPark are currently sitting sixth in the table.
