BUSAN, South Korea - The Busan IPark defeated Gangwon 1-0 Saturday afternoon in a rain soaked affair at the Asiad World Cup Stadium.
Choi Jin-ho's 25th minute goal was the difference, as both sides struggled with the conditions on the pitch. Choi was left unmarked in the penalty area and knocked home a rebound which was misplayed by Gangwon keeper Song Yoo-kyul to give the IPark the early advantage.
Yoon Dong-min missed a chance to make the advantage a double, when his chip shot off a breakaway hit the crossbar in the 70th minute.
Gangwon struggled to penetrate the IPark's defense all afternoon, managing only four shots at Jeon Sang-wook. The IPark have yet to concede a goal since March 25th against Gwangju, when they last lost 2-1.
Busan now sits seventh in the table with 13 points on the season.
