BUSAN, South Korea -- Busan City is strengthening its relationship with Houston, one of the largest cities of the United States. Since their exchange agreement in May, the two cities have been strengthening their exchange activities.

Busan City and Houston are constructing a shipping equipment cooperation complex and joint facility in Gangseo District, Mieum Industrial Complex, to boost the marine plant industry. As the site will be ready by December the joint facility construction will be completed by August of next year. Based on the shipping marine plant, the two cities are planning to reinforce its overseas exchange in R&D.

The two cities will also focus on expanding private exchange.
