‘Busan Style’ Video Contest to be Held

The 11th Busan Digital Film Contents Contest with the theme “Busan Style” is receiving submissions from Nov. 1 to 20.

BUSAN, South Korea -- Following the recent trend of "Gangnam Style", the city of Busan has selected its theme for the 11th Busan Digital Film Contents Contest.
Creative film entries can focus on the hidden charms of Busan as brilliant and fun advertisement, for instance, Busan advertisement or theme song, storytelling and showing the charm of Busan such as famous festivals, culture, the Busan people, the charm of the city as a global city that foreigners can experience. As long as you are Korean, you can enter this contest. Foreign residents (registered residents) can participate as well. (Individual or group of up to four.)
There is no limit to the genre, and the length is five minutes or less as long as it is in a digital creation video clip filmed with ENG, camcorder or digital camera or is a digital animation. After the first online registration (upload your clip on YouTube and link the URL at the registration bulletin (www.badatv.com). The second round entry clips must submit their work in CD or USB format with their application form and statement via postal mail or in person. The application form is available on Bada TV Web site. Foreigners can participate as well.
Busan City will judge the video clips with a panel of experts and announce one grand prize winner and a total of 18 winners in December. The grand prize winner will receive 3 million won ($2,661) and second prize winner will receive 1.5 million won. The winning works will be broadcast through Bada TV, Busan City’s internet broadcasting station. For more information contact the Busan Media Center.
