After 17-years out of the scene, K-pop boy band Sechs Kies is making a comeback with a new album and accompanying tour according to their management team at YG Entertainment.
The six-member band made what is described as a “flamboyant” debut in April 1997, producing several hits over a three-year period before an unexpected break-up.
According to Yonhap, the band had a huge following and upon news of their breakup devastated fans protested in front of their agency, but were told: “the band members made their decision to leave the celebrity life when they are at the peak of popularity.”
Here they are back in the day:
Last month they signed with YG, offering a statement saying:“We have officially established a contract with Sechskies. From now on Sechskies will resume promotions with YG’s support. Member Go Ji Yong, who is now a business man, did not sign along with other members, but it is possible for him to still join us for various performances and album recordings.”
