Police and the local environment authority began an investigation after wild bird spotbill ducks died en masse around Gangseo-gu.
The police confirmed that 63 spotbill ducks had died in a rice paddy of Jukdong-dong, Gangseo-gu yesterday.
According to the results of an analysis after police requested to the quarantine the headquarters, the birds died because of agricultural pesticides. Police plans to search for the person who sprayed the agricultural pesticide and to impose a penalty after the final report is released.
