Over 3,500 Students Quit School in Busan Last Year



A growing concern is growing at K-12 schools as 3,520 students dropped out of school in Busan in the past year. According to the Ministry of Education, 720 elementary students, 870 middle school students, and 1,940 high school students quit school.

The numbers relate to .45% of all elementary students, .78 of middle school and 1.59% of all high school students registered in the past year.

The reason of dropping out of school for elementary students and middle school students were migration, uncertified studying overseas, and diseases.

However, more than a 1,000 high school students quit school because of maladjustment to school life.
