SINGAPORE – Super Junior were big winners at the Mnet Asian Music Awards Tuesday night, which was telecasted live from the Singapore Indoor Stadium.
The group's "Mr. Simple" won the Best Album of the Year Award, while also winning Male Group of the Year and Singapore’s Choice awards.
2NE1's “I Am The Best” won the Song of the Year award, while Girls’ Generation won Best Artist of the Year in addition to Best Female Group of the Year and Best Female Artist went to Baek Ji-Young. Other winners included Miss A, Beast, Kim Hyun-ah, and Leessang.
Will i. am of the Black Eyed Peas also perfomed with 2NE1's CL, while Chinese classical pianist Lang Lang, and Japanese singer Kumi Koda also thrilled the audience of 10,000. The show was watched by 1,900,000 viewers in 20 countries.
