It’s that time of year again when the country comes awash in pink and spring returns to the peninsula.

The early report released shows that some regions will see an earlier bloom by one to three days. Busan will begin on March 26th, while Seoul will begin around April 6th. It usually takes about a week for the trees to come into full bloom, around April 1st in Busan and the southern coastal regions and April 8th-13th inland.

Cherry blossoms typically bloom from the end of March to the beginning of April, when temperatures vary and when the blossoms will be in bloom generally differs by a few days every year.

The figures below indicate the dates when the cherry blossoms are expected to bloom in Korea in 2017 by the Korea Meteorological Administration which predicts when the blossoms will be in bloom every year.
