2017 Lotus Lantern Cultural Festival to Begin April 22nd in Nampodong

The Busan Buddhism Association and the Jung District Office said they will hold the 2017 Lotus Lantern Cultural Festival at Gwangbok-ro for 23 days from April 22nd until May 14th.

The Gwangbok-ro Lotus Lantern Cultural Festival will be held as a part of the Busan Lotus Lantern Festival and will feature the lighting of 1,500 lotus lanterns at Gwangbok-ro to celebrate Buddha’s birthday.

There will be a variety of different lotus lanterns, including a dragon-shaped lantern and lanterns of the twelve zodiac figures, where the lighting ceremony will take place at 7 pm on the 22nd.
